Elizabeth Skowron, PhD, studies the effects of early adversity on the development of self-regulation skills in early childhood and how biology and behavior shape parenting processes. Her team delivers evidence-based family interventions that reduce the risk of child abuse and neglect and studies the biobehavioral pathways through which interventions result in positive outcomes.
