Wendy Hadley, PhD conducts research on the prevention of substance use and sexual risk behaviors, and the promotion of health behaviors among adolescents. She has a particular interest in how emotion regulation and family factors impact engagement in these behaviors and has primarily focused her work on developing interventions to address health outcomes. She has been widely published in this domain and has served as Principal Investigator or Co-Investigator on numerous NIH funded grants. Funding agencies have included the National Institute of Mental Health, the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, the National Institute for Child Health and Human Development and the National Institute on Drug Abuse. In addition to her research activities, she is also a licensed clinical psychologist who oversees the HEDCO Clinic in the College of Education and provides clinical supervision to graduate students and post-doctoral fellows.
